📮 PO Boxes
Orders shipped to PO Boxes often require additional costs and are not eligible for free shipping. Use a physical address to avoid delays and fees.
🏝️ Outside Continental US
We ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Free shipping generally does not apply to large or bulky items shipped to these locations. Hawaii and Alaska do have more flexibility with this due to carrier policies. Quotes will be calculated at checkout or by request.

🚛 Freight Shipments
Freight deliveries involve pallets via box trucks or semis. Liftgate service is assumed unless specified otherwise.

Orders that qualify for full truckload (FTL) delivery will be custom quoted after checkout. Rates are based on location, order volume, and unloading requirements.

We love this rice bran for soil building!
We purchase OMRI listed rice bran and it is excellent for building soil.
This material is very high in P and our most recent test shows over 6% water soluble phosphorous which is very hard to find in organics.
Another reason we offer this rice bran, is because its an excellent nutrient for making your own fermented fertilizer called Bokashi. Besides this rice bran, you will also need molasses, water, and EM-1.

Useful Info
The bran is the hard outer layers of cereal grain. It consists of the combined aleurone and pericarp. Rice bran is a byproduct of the rice milling process (the conversion of brown rice to white rice), and it contains various antioxidants that impart beneficial effects on human health. A major rice bran fraction contains 12%-13% oil and highly unsaponifiable components (4.3%). This fraction contains tocotrienols (a form of vitamin E), gamma-oryzanol and beta-sitosterol; all these constituents may contribute to the lowering of the plasma levels of the various parameters of the lipid profile. Rice bran also contains a high level of dietary fibres (beta-glucan, pectin and gum). In addition, it also contains ferulic acid, which is also a component of the structure of nonlignified cell walls. Occasional presence of weevils in rice bran can occur is harmless to plants and can even be beneficial when used in the production of bokashi compost.
How to Use
Bokashi:
The Original EM•1® Bokashi Recipe
To make your own EM•1® Bokashi (in this recipe) you'll need some bran (or some other dried plant material), some EM•1®, molasses, and fresh water. A 50-pound bag of wheat bran made into bokashi costs very little to make (including the EM•1® Microbial Inoculant, molasses, and bran). Organic rice bran and organic wheat bran cost more but are better because they avoid GMO crops and possible pesticide contamination. This recipe takes about 20 minutes from start to finish to make a 50-pound bag of EM•1® Bokashi. It needs to ferment for a minimum of two weeks and then is dried for long-term storage (up to several years). If you choose not to make it, you can purchase it ready to use.

Ordered Rice hulls I thought. Received Rice Bran never used before but I was going to try it in my super soil and bacterial and fungul compost teas. Don’t really know how much to add to 50 gal batch?
I think it could be informative to buyer’s application rate and uses!

Very clean
Waited until my first batch of Kashi was ready to review. This stuff is great, very clean, smells lovely, like food grade. Blended with molasses oats, maple sawdust and flaxseed meal, fermented with EM-1 and now have outstanding Kashi gran. Kashi really helps soil health, especially in large containers. The best Kashi is what you make at home, it's less dehydrated than store bought and therefore more active.
This rice bran is the backbone of any good Kashi.
