Delivery and Shipping
Shipping Policy
Shipping is expensive, and it gets more expensive almost every year. We are not going to pretend otherwise. What we can tell you is that we work hard to find the most reliable and affordable way to get your order to you, and we pass along free shipping wherever it makes sense.
Free shipping on any order with two or more items. The one exception is bulk items, meaning the large or heavy products that have to move by freight or oversized parcel. If your cart qualifies, free shipping is applied automatically at checkout.
Why two items and not a dollar amount?
Most stores set free shipping at a dollar threshold. That works when you sell light things like clothing. We don't. We ship soil, amendments, and heavy real goods that are expensive and awkward to move, so a dollar minimum doesn't reflect what shipping actually costs us.
We are a small business with no outside financial backing, and we are not Amazon. We manufacture, pack, and ship everything in house so we can control quality, which means real people picking, boxing, taping, and labeling every order, and that means real jobs. When we ship a single item for free, the only way to cover it is to raise prices across the board, and we would rather not do that. Asking for two or more items on free orders lets us keep prices lower for everyone and keep shipping sustainable. We hate high shipping costs as much as you do, and this is the fairest way we have found to keep them down.
Delivery estimates
Every product page shows an estimated delivery window based on current fulfillment and carrier schedules, so you know what to expect before you buy.
Shipping Options

For large or heavy orders, faster transit.
Carriers
We ship with FedEx, UPS, and USPS, and we pick the carrier that gets your order to you reliably at the best cost. We cannot guarantee a specific carrier unless you arrange it with us ahead of time.
PO Boxes
Orders to PO Boxes often cost more and usually do not qualify for free shipping. Use a physical address to avoid delays and added fees.
Outside the Continental US
We ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the US Virgin Islands. Free shipping generally does not apply to large or bulky items going to these destinations, though Hawaii and Alaska have more flexibility depending on carrier policy. Rates are quoted at checkout or on request.
Canada
We ship select items to Canada. Canadian customers need to choose "UPS Standard Shipping to Canada" at checkout so your order clears customs cleanly and you avoid surprise brokerage fees. Orders placed with other methods can be delayed or rejected at the border.
Vendor-Fulfilled Items
Some products ship directly from our vendor partners and show their own estimated ship dates on the product page. Questions about these go to support@buildasoil.com.
Freight Shipments
Freight orders arrive on pallets by box truck or semi. We assume you need liftgate service unless you tell us otherwise.
Inspect every freight shipment before you sign. Count the packages and check for damage. Signing the delivery receipt confirms the order arrived complete and undamaged, so note any problem on the receipt before you sign it.
Full Truckloads
Full truckload (FTL) orders are custom quoted after checkout based on your location, order volume, and how the truck will be unloaded.
- Let us know if you have a dock, forklift, or other unloading equipment.
- Tell us if you need liftgate or manual unload service.
- Email support@buildasoil.com ahead of time for an FTL quote.
Order Tracking
We email tracking as soon as your order ships. If it does not arrive, check buildasoil.aftership.com with your order details, or email support@buildasoil.com.
Shipping Protection
This optional add-on at checkout covers your shipment against loss, theft, and damage, and we fast-track those claims for replacement or resolution. Even with protection, photos and documentation help us move carrier claims along faster.
Claims
Send all claims to support@buildasoil.com. We do not process claims by phone.
Include:
- A description of the issue
- Photos or video of the damage, or of missing or incorrect items
- Images of the packaging and labels
Hold onto the packaging and any damaged items until the claim is resolved, since carriers may require an inspection.
Claim deadlines
- Damage or missing items: within 60 days of delivery
- Incorrect products: within 60 days of shipment
- Lost or misdelivered packages: within 60 days of shipment
Once Your Order Leaves Our Facility
We help with every carrier claim we can. But once an order is in the carrier's hands, we cannot control delays, damage, or misdelivery, and the carrier makes the final call on claims.

Description
Description
Back 2 Bloom Bundle
Right now your plants are heading into flower whether you're ready or not. This is the four part bloom setup we run at BuildASoil, put together in one box. Feed the soil first, then feed the plant, then hand the whole thing over to biology.
Why now and not later
Flower doesn't wait for you to notice
If you wait until the plant shows you a problem, you already waited too long.
This is the time of year when everything flips. Days get shorter, plants stack, and demand for phosphorus, potassium and calcium climbs fast. Salt based feeding lets you react in a day or two because you're force feeding the plant directly. Organics doesn't work that way, and that's the whole point.
In living soil the nutrients are already there. Biology has to break them down and hand them to the root before the plant can use them. That takes time, usually a week or two. So the fade, the pale leaves, the stalled bud set, those are all lagging indicators. By the time you see one you're already behind, and you spend the rest of the run catching up instead of finishing strong.
Set it up at the front of flower and you're not chasing anything. You feed the system once, the soil holds the nutrition, and the biology releases it on the plant's schedule instead of yours. That's what nature does when you let it. Get ahead of it and stay there.
Do it in this order
Four steps, one afternoon
The order matters. Dry amendments go down first so the soluble feed washes them in, and the biology goes last so it lands in a root zone that already has something to eat.
Top dress
1 Gallon
Lay it across the whole soil surface. This is premium compost and worm castings loaded with organic phosphorus and potassium, plus gypsum, kelp and pre charged biochar. It's food for the plant and food for the soil life at the same time, and it keeps working for weeks.
Mix in
3 lb
Blend it right into the BuildAFlower layer and work the whole thing into the surface with your fingers. Four organic phosphorus sources in one amendment: rice bran, fish bone meal, micronized calcium phosphate and black soldier fly frass. This is the push, and it's the part most growers are short on when flower starts.
Water it in
1 lb, makes 113 gallons
Now water the top dress in with BuildABloom instead of plain water. Amino chelated phosphorus, potassium and calcium with a fulvic boost, so the plant gets something available today while the dry amendments are still breaking down. No bone meal, no guano, no phosphoric acid. It bridges the gap so nothing stalls while the soil catches up.
Inoculate the root zone
2 oz
Finish by drenching the root zone. Bio-Phos is a full spectrum soil inoculant built around microbes that mobilize phosphorus, so the P sitting in your soil actually becomes available to the plant. You just laid out a buffet. This is what shows up to serve it.
The idea behind the box
Push it in, then pull it out
Adding phosphorus and waiting is only half the job. Most of the P in any soil is locked up in forms roots can't take. Push and pull is how you get it moving.
The push
BuildAFlower, Pushin' P and BuildABloom
These load the soil with organic phosphorus, potassium and calcium from several different sources so you're not leaning on one ingredient and building it up over time. Diversity in, diversity out.
The pull
Rootwise Bio-Phos
Phosphorus solubilizing microbes free up what's already locked in the soil and deliver it at the root. The same approach the 2022 North American record pumpkin grower used. Without the pull, a lot of what you add just sits there.
What ships to you
Four products, no filler
Premium compost and BuildASoil worm castings combined, then built out with gypsum, high phosphorus rice bran, Icelandic kelp, mustard seed meal and pre charged biochar. Every ingredient is approved for organic production and it will not burn your plants.
Four premium phosphorus sources in one bag. Organic rice bran, fish bone meal, micronized calcium phosphate with non GMO amino acids, and black soldier fly frass. All low in heavy metals, all bringing something different to the soil.
Amino chelated minerals with a fulvic boost, made in Colorado. One pound makes 113 gallons of ready to use solution. Derived from rock phosphate, gypsum, soy protein hydrolysate, magnesium sulfate and potassium sulfate. See the nutrient and heavy metal analysis.
Who this is for
Anyone running living soil in containers, beds or the ground who is heading into flower this season. Indoor growers flipping the lights, outdoor growers watching the days get shorter, and anyone growing tomatoes, peppers, squash or fruit trees through a heavy fruit set.
If you're already in flower and things look fine, that's exactly when to run it. If things already look off, run it now and give the biology a week or two to do the work.
