How it works
Three steps, no fine print
Earn
Creating your account earns your first 100 points before you buy a thing. Then every dollar you spend earns 2 points, on regular prices and sale prices alike. Reviews, referrals, and your birthday add more.
Climb
Your lifetime spend moves you up five tiers. Higher tiers earn faster, shop sales early, and get free soil tests and gear. Tiers are permanent.
Spend
Redeem points like cash on almost anything in the store, or trade them for real rewards: sticker packs, rolling papers, soil tests, free product.

Every way to earn points
One point is worth 2.5 cents. The list below is the whole list. Nothing hidden, nothing that changes without telling you.

Every month we pick the best photo or video posted in a product review. Finalists go to a community vote on our Patreon, and the winner gets 1,000 points and their grow featured right here. Your entry is your review: post a photo of what you are growing on any product you have bought.

Points work like cash
Dollars off
Redeem in $10 steps, up to your full balance, on anything in the Loyalty Collection. Pick the amount at checkout. No minimum order, no cap on how much of your order points can cover.
Real rewards
Sticker packs, rolling papers, a Logan Labs soil test, free product, and tier-locked merch. Product rewards ship free with any order, or grab one on its own and just cover shipping.
Where points spend. Points redeem on the Loyalty Collection, and it covers most of what we make. Browse it and see for yourself. Everything storewide still earns full points, whatever you buy.
During a sitewide sale, points coupons take the weekend off. The sale price is the discount. You keep earning points on every sale order, and the rewards shop stays open the whole time.

- One discount per order: points or a promo code, not both.
- Points coupons pause during sitewide sales. Earning never pauses.
- Points spend on the Loyalty Collection. Everything storewide earns points.
- Reward codes only work on the account that earned them.
Questions
What people ask us
I had points in the old program. What happened to them?
They are still yours. When we moved from 1 point per dollar to 2, we doubled every existing balance so nothing lost value. Log in and check.
My points expired under the old program. Can I get them back?
Points do not expire anymore. If you think your old balance is missing something, email support@buildasoil.com with your account email and we will look into it.
Why did you change from 1 point per dollar to 2?
The new tiers earn more as you climb, and building that in meant changing the base. A point is now worth 2.5 cents, so 2 points per dollar is the same 5% back as before, and Platinum and OG earn 3.
How do I know what tier I am in?
Log in and open the rewards panel. Your tier, your points, and how far you are from the next tier are all there. If you have been ordering from us for years, your history already counts.
What can I spend points on?
Everything in the Loyalty Collection. Open it and look around. Every order you place earns points no matter what is in it.
Do I need to do anything to join?
Create an account. That is it. If you already have one, you are already in.
