SEED SOAK: 1/8 tsp per gallon; soak tomato seeds 72 hrs, cabbage & squash 48 hrs, potatoes 12 hrs, and most other vegetable seeds 24 hrs before planting. Water seedlings at transplanting with same rate.
FOLIAR SPRAY: 1/8-1/4 tsp per gallon every 7-10 days.
CONTAINER GARDENING / COMPOST TEA: 1/4 - 1/2 tsp per gallon
HYDROPONICS: 1/4 tsp per gallon of nutrient solution used in reservoir (use with every reservoir change; top-offs can be charged with half to quarter normal rate). 15% is insoluble and can be omitted (see note below).
FIELD USE: 2-15 pounds per acre are recommended to improve soil structure and plant growth and to activate soil microbes, release minerals and reduce aluminum toxicty.. 1/4 tsp ~ 1 gm 1/2 tsp ~ 2 gm
NOTE: ION-14 does not replace the use of fertilizers but may reduce the quantity needed. 15% is insoluble. Pre-mix amount to be used in a small amount of water (don’t exceed one pound per gallon and we recommend 1/2 pound per gallon of water)., let settle for 30 minutes and pour off soluble portion. Broadcast any insoluble portion.

The tropical soil and climate capsicum survival test These capsicum pepper plants were transplanted into a tropical soil of volcanic origin highly acid low phosphate availability high aluminum and INFESTED with root knot and several other nematode species. The test was conducted in the open at 1500 ft. elevation on the Kona coast of the island of Hawaii The plants were also subject to several leaf diseases and multiple viruses. Capsicum is practically impossible to grow in Hawaii out side of a sterile soil in a greenhouse in Hawaii and that is a problem too . THE ONLY PLANT that produced useable fruit and survived the challenge of the diseases, nematodes, insects, virus and slugs was the plant that was watered with ION-14 . The Controls barely survived and the regular humate treatments only had tiny fruit. This proves the benefits in the tropics and shows that these crops can be grown on un sterilized acid soils with low phosphate availability.
